Uses for lavender sachet
Laundry sachets – use in place of dryer sheets for a chemical free way to make your laundry smell fresh. If you find you have problems with static cling, add ¼ - ½ cup of vinegar in a fabric softener ball in your wash cycle.
Keeps laundry smelling fresh – keep a sachet in drawers of clothing or in your linen closet to keep laundry smelling fresh
Air freshener – great in your car, your purse, closets, or anywhere else you want a fresh scent!
Relax your way to dreamland! Place a sachet of lavender under your pillow to help you relax and combat insomnia.
Bath sachets – hang one over the tap as you run your bath to aid in deep relaxation, and rub it over itchy, dry skin or even sunburns to soothe your skin.
Eye mask - soak lavender sachets and place them on your eyelids (or on mild sunburns) for relief of aching eyes. (Old laundry sachets can be used for this purpose).
Moth ball replacement – Lavender repels moths, and smells much better than old moth balls! Throw a sachet or two in clothes before putting them into storage.
Mosquito repellant – hang a sachet from your child’s stroller for a chemical free mosquito repellent
Lavender repels many bugs, so old lavender sachets can be emptied into mulch for your garden or put in your composter.
Carpet freshener – sprinkling lavender on the carpet and vacuuming it up gives the carpet and room a nice fresh smell (another use for old lavender dryer sachets)
Aromatherapy – aromatherapists use the scent of lavender to counteract tension, anxiety, depression, headaches, insomnia, and other stress related ailments. Drop one lavender sachet into 2 or 3 cups of boiling water and inhale the vapors.
